As soon as I saw those reusable toaster bags, I thought, “That’s just an envelope of parchment paper!”
To test my theory, I made grilled cheese sammies in the toaster today for lunch. Success! Is it the perfect grilled cheese sandwich? No. But it’s pretty comparable to what you make in a pan with a lot less work. And since clean-up is just tossing some parchment paper in the trash, I consider it a big win.
