Brick by brick, project by project, Detroit is being quietly rejuvenated by a movement funded by strangers helping residents launch unique ideas to improve overlooked areas of the city.

If this ends up resulting in real, lasting, positive growth for Detroit, I’ll be thrilled. And I love that people are taking control of their own destiny and using Kickstarter to make it happen.
