Grover Norquist, “Why Republicans Should Never Raise Taxes”
If I let my children watch as much TV as they wanted, they’d never read a book or go outside to play.
If we continue to let the government raise our taxes, they’ll never do the hard work of fixing what is painfully, obviously wrong with the system.
We have to stop settling for what is easy and start demanding what is best.
The Gun Debate is a Culture Debate
This is a really honest assessment of the current divide on gun control. It clearly looks at why pro-gun folks are so staunch in protecting their rights, and why anti-gun folks are often so bigoted (yes, bigoted) and incredulous that honest, law-abiding citizens would even want a gun.
Some Americans teach their children that gun ownership is a right a responsibility, and that guns are tools to respect and enjoy. Others discipline five-year olds for fashioning pretend guns out of pipe cleaners; they view guns with something resembling disgust.
Productive conversations about guns can thus be difficult because the anti-gun movement gives little to no weight to the values of private gun ownership. That is because “gun disgust” engenders a bias against guns.

If Joe Biden was in my family, I think he’d be loved as a likeable, clueless uncle who never realized we’re no longer in 1975. Unfortunately, he’s the Vice President and people actually listen to him.
This short video is a wonderful juxaposition of Joe Biden’s terrible home defense suggestions and the actual truth about shotguns and AR-15’s.
First he gives terrible dining advice, and now he wants his wife to break her shoulder. Aww, that kooky Uncle Joe!
Ladies, you want a gun for self defense? Buy a .38 revolver and learn how to use it. Don’t listen to the Veep.

GAO Report: Obamacare Adds $6.2 Trillion to Long-Term Deficit
Remember when the President said, “I actually have said that it is important for us to make sure this thing is deficit neutral, without tricks. I said I wouldn’t sign a bill that didn’t meet that criteria” and “I will not sign a plan that adds one dime to our deficits—either now or in the future”?
Whoops!
If he can’t stand behind those statements, how confident are you that he will stand behind this claim: “I will make sure that no government bureaucrat or insurance company bureaucrat gets between you and the care that you need”?
Get ready to have politicians tell you what health care you’re “allowed” to have.

The president is really good about following through on his promises to raise taxes, aka “additional revenue”. When is he going to start being as reliable about reducing spending? Tell me one significant spending cut he has proposed and enacted.
You literally, mathmatically cannot tax America enough to make up for the deficit. We have to have spending cuts and entitlement reform in order to balance the budget.

Why aren’t we out of Afghanistan yet? And Iraq? Hmmm…
